“There was always something wrong with me, I am 17 and I have PCOS since I was 15. It’s really hard for me to believe that I have PCOS. When I see girls dressed up and when I look at myself I feel really bad as I can’t wear such fashionable clothes because I have hair on my legs, stomach, my back and on the chest. I just want to cry. I want to be like other normal girls but I can’t. People say I am beautiful but they hardly know what I am actually going through, always shaving my facial hair because I am always scared that all of my friends will start calling me a BOY. Soon I got a friend’s khala (she is a doctor) and very scarcely I discussed my problem with her and she came as a ray of light in my dark life. She told me how to deal with this situation and how to get treated. Now I am using pills and on diet and I am hopeful that one day I will beat PCOS”.
