Last week, a young youtuber named Rana Zuhair was shot and killed dead while recording one of his upcoming video. Through the YouTube channel “Lahori Vines”, Rana Zuhair and his friends, Hasanat Ali and Abdul Satoor entertain their viewers by uploading prank videos. They used to go around the streets of Lahore and prank people in public places. Their pranks are only harmless until the day Rana’s death.
As the details provided, Rana and his friends were shooting for one of their upcoming video where they are busy in ghost pranking people near Lytton Road. Rana was disguised as a ghost and he was scaring peoples in the street of Lahore. It was a usual filming day for these boys. However, things took a wrong turn when they decided to prank a family. The man family didn’t find the prank funny and suddenly opened fire on Rana Zuhair. He got seriously wounded by the shot that resulted in his instant dead.
Afterwards, police toke both of their friends in custody and they think that it wasn’t an incident and Rana’s friends are involved behind the mastermind plan of Rana’s murder.
Social media has taken up so much of our lives however there are those who are not as interested when it comes to being prank-ed. Certain ‘challenges’ even such as the Momo challenge or the blue whale challenge can be extremely influential. When it comes to involving other people in pranks that can be potentially dangerous even in the slightest, it’s important to be careful and think twice about what the consequences may be.
