BMI stands for Body Mass Index, it defines weight(normal), overweight, or obesity. In measuring BMI, should know the height and weight of a person. It will give you the proper knowledge about your health and related issues. It will not only calculate body fat, but it will also provide awareness, whether you are lying healthier side or not. There are several methods to measure your weight, but BMI is most convenient and easy to do at your home.
To Calculate BMI, having a simple formula :
Your weight (kgs) ÷ Your height (m) = Result
Result ÷ Your height (m) = Final Result
For e.g ;
83 kgs ÷ 1.524 m = 54.46
54.46 ÷ 1.524 m = 35.73
Note: Final Result will be your BMI, then match your BMI in following BMI Chart below where your body weight is lying.
BMI Ranges :
- less than 18.5 is Underweight.
- 18.5 – 24.9 is Normal weight.
- 25 – 29.9 is Overweight.
- 30 – higher is lying in the Obese.
