This cover was released last week and now become the top trending news on social media. People are sharing their views on this song that Ahad sang horrendously and distorted the real essence of their childhood song. They pass their negative comments and make trolls and memes on it
But now we are seeing that this troll is turning into clash when Momina Mustehsan and our Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari start catfight on twitter. Both the ladies are passing their arguments on this song
Shireen Mazari said “Horrendous!” she wrote. “Destroyed a great classic – why oh why, did Coke Studio allow such a massacre of this classic song?”
Our sensational artist Momina Mustehsan replied to her tweet “Apologies for hurting your sentiments. It is your right to judge us and express your outrage, just like it was our right to exercise our freedom of expression. As our Minister for Human Rights, you should appreciate Coke Studio for allowing us to express ourselves, especially if it was horrendous.”
But this fight didn’t stop there, our Minister of Human Right again tweet and said, “I gave my personal opinion which I am entitled to. Especially on a non -political issue having to do with music. To each his/her own! And why bring the ministry into it?!”
“I respect that ma’am – I apologized and acknowledge that you had every right to judge and express outrage,” this battle went to its peak when Momina replied, “I was only answering your question of why Coke Studio allowed it. And as someone holding office, I’d hope you’d appreciate the allowance of freedom of expression- however bad it turned out”
Singer also added that “As someone holding office, I’d expect you to be more responsible with how you express yourself on public platforms. We look up to you, ma’am, as citizens of this country,”
Here, Momina another tweet came out on the social media that actually inflamed Shireen Mazari, when Afreen singer said, “When you hold office, it’s not about politics or his/her own anymore – it’s about the country at large. You represent all of us now, not just yourself or PTI. In a time when we’re trying to curb cyber-bullying and hate speech, please don’t fuel it further.”
Mazari after lost her patience replied, “Are you serious? Liking or disliking a song has nothing to do with anyone or any politics! It’s a personal choice. I did not like the song. End of story.”
People actually fed up with this catfight and want to stop this nonsense which is going on at social media.
On the hand, after all these criticism Ahad keeps patience and pass positive feedback to his fans through his Twitter account that he respects all the positive and negative comments of his fan. But we don’t know what will be the end of this story. Whether Ahad patience will end up just like Momina or he will show some aggressive reaction too.
