Pakistanis are celebrating the 53rd birthday anniversary of the Pakistani music icon Nazia Hassan. She was born on 3rd, April 1965 in Karachi. Pakistan’s late Princess of Pop started her career at the age of 9. She is one of the outstanding singers in South Asia.
She started her career from the radio or the PTV shows, then she gains popularity when she sings a song, “aap jaisa koi” in Qurbani film of India. The 15 years old girls won a Filmfare Award in 1981 and become the youngest and the first Pakistani who won this award.
She and her brother, Zohaib Hassan has also started a music show named Muic89 where the polished the future pop singer, Sajjad Ali, Ali Haider etc. She passed way in 2000 at the age of 35 by fighting with lungs cancer, in London leaving her fans in dismay, Rest in peace, superstar.
After 2 years the government of Pakistan awarded her with the highest civilian honour on 23rd March 2002 in the country.
Its been a 20 year but Nazia still alive in our heart. Her top hit songs are Dam Dam Dee Dee, Dosti, Boom Boom, Disco Deewane and much more still alive in the heart of fans.
