The government of Qatar has selected Pakistan to be among those 8 countries where its visa centers will be established. It will facilitate citizens who want to apply for jobs in the Gulf country, the Qatari embassy informed the PM’s Special Assistant Zulfikar Bukhari in a letter.
New Job Opportunities for Pakistanis
In the letter sent to the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & HRD it was stated that in the first place, eight visa centers will be established across the world to facilitate workers from different countries to develop contracts with their employers before arriving in Qatar. These centers will also be meant to help in protecting the rights of the workforce in case of violation by employers. Furthermore, the visa centres will facilitate the process of recruitment by enabling the candidates to understand and meet all the requirements needed to start the contract.
This is a very positive and kind gesture by the Qatari government and we hope that it will create endless job opportunities for Pakistanis. Currently, there are 115,000 Pakistanis in Qatar and we hope that new job opportunities will increase this number.
