One click away to getting over writer’s block
No matter how skilled you are, there will always be times when you will feel that you have absolutely nothing to write about. Every great writer suffers from this inevitable phase, the most dreaded “writer’s block”. But you know what? It isn’t as terrible as it sounds. With these simple hacks you can easily get over it and write the next hit, in no time.
Listen to yourself:
Pumping yourself up with caffeine and sitting in front of the computer to find some motivation, is not how you are going to get over this writer’s block. The key here is to actually listen to yourself and give your mind some time. If your mind needs some time off, then maybe it was long overdue. Settle down for a couple days and let your mind wander to the most extreme of places.
To a writer, this might sound like procrastinating, but in reality movies can be used as the biggest source of inspiration. An actor died? Good! Think about what could have been done to prevent that. Now write your own version, where that same actor gets to live.
This might sound like a cliché as people portray meditation as the one step remedy to every problem. But trust me when I tell you, that there is something inside of you that awakens if you get up at 5 am in the morning, and listen to the birds chirping. The sounds of nature help you rewind and open up your mind to newer possibilities. This is definitely going to help you get over your writer’s block in a couple of days.
All in all, writer’s block is nothing to be afraid of. It comes and goes, just like seasons, only to help your mind revitalize. If it didn’t, writers would drive themselves insane, sitting behind computers, typing the days away. If you follow the hacks given above your writer’s block will go away as fast as a person who owes you money.
Keep on writing and sharing your work!
