If you wear mascara you’re likely familiar with this situation. It’s the end of the day, and you’re feeling bushed so instead of taking a few minutes to remove your mascara. You end up falling asleep with mascara. Well this bad habit can lead to a lot of eye damage.
Here’s why we should be a lot more cautious about removing the make-up. There’s a real story of a women who did the same but ended up having some serious eye issue.
Just look at what happened to this 50-year-old woman. Who admitted to over 25 years of heavy mascara use without properly removing it! Doctor discovered dark lumps on her eyelids likely caused by a buildup of mascara. They were diagnosed as subconjunctival concretions which were eroding the lining of the women’s eyelid. She went to the doctor because of the continual irritation in her eye, her eyelids became swollen and heavy. A 90 minutes procedure removed the lumps. She has now recovered but has permanent scarring on her eyelids and corneas.
The best way to prevent any kind of skin or eye disease is to take off make-up before going to bed because one bad habit can lead to severe damage.
