Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, has been ranked among the top 50 of World’s Most Influential Muslims’ list of 2019.
The Jordan-based Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre has prepared the annual list titled World’s Most Influential Muslims. According to the list, PM Imran Khan secured 29th position in the list.
Three other Pakistanis secured a spot in the list
Imran Khan is not the only Pakistani who made to the list, the list also contains names of three other Pakistanis, which are; Justice Sheikh Muhammad Taqi Usmani, who is on the 6th; Haji Muhammad Abdul-Wahhab, emir of Tablighi Jamaat on 14th; and Maulana Tariq Jameel, religious scholar on the 40th spot.
However, if we talk about Muslim rulers and politicians in the list, PM Khan is ranked on the 15th spot.
Interestingly, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan secured first place in the list. Erdogan became Turkey’s first popularly-elected president in August 2014. Then, again in 2018, he won the elections with 52.5 per cent of the vote, where electoral turnout was 86 per cent.
