After a long time we are watching an amazing piece of entertainment on Bollywood portfolio a movie Hichki, another education system based movie after “Taray Zameen Par”. A refreshing entry of Rani Mukherji with having a disorder of Hiccups as nobody accepting her as normal person, she selected a challenging job of teaching.
Hichki gained a 7.5 rating on Imdb & 3.5/5 rating at Times of India with a great script, music & cinematography.
A great concept of blaming students that they are not ready to learn or having any guts to understand. The basic message of teaching method conveyed throughout the movie is something what we need to see that how a teacher can change a life of a dump student. She takes the challenge to take the class and as we can imagine a teacher with some disorder cannot be easily synchronized with students. People get annoyed, students making fun & she started getting weaker inside.
With the surrounded pressure, she regain with the passion and identify that the only thing matter is to change yourself and start believing the students she has. Here we see the magic, a great message for the third world countries, teachers has always a blaming behavior towards students that they don’t learn just because they never connect or take them as responsibility. Imagine if we just start believing on the students what a generation we can raise who can participate in the society as responsible citizens along with some great career, interpersonal skills, confidence building & can make entrepreneurial mindsets.
The only thing missing in our society is we are not generating quality students & entrepreneurs who can take care of our tomorrow and can face the technology challenges we are going to have, it is all about grass-rooters like us. I am personally a great example of some great teachers, they are not alive but the believe they transferred towards me when I use to study in a Peela school anyone can check my little intro and understand what a teacher can raise no matter how big school you go for your entire life.
Hichki is a movie where it can set some standards for a middle class education system and a great message for teachers.
