Following Apple and Google, Facebook has also decided to roll out a new feature that will tell users how much time they spend on the app. Facebook announced about this feature ‘Your Time on Facebook’ in August this year to help people manage their time on social networking, it seems like the company is going to launch this feature soon.
The tool will be able to keep a track of how many minutes users have spent on Facebook each day and if they want to minimize the social media use they can even set a daily limit to remind them that they have spent the given amount of time on Facebook and now it’s time to stop using it.
The company also introduced many new features including shortcuts to notifications, news feed and friend request settings.
You can find the new feature under the Settings & Privacy menu, which is in the More tab inside Facebook. Once there, you will able to check how much time you have spent on the app on average and also the exact amount of time every day of the past week. Here you can also set up daily limits as well as a reminder that will tell you to stop using Facebook once that daily time limit is reached.
Users who cannot see “Your Time on Facebook” inside the Facebook app, it implies that Facebook has not rolled it out in your region for the time being. Also, make sure you update Facebook on iPhone and Android to get the new feature once it makes into your region.
