Dunkin Donut, Tipu Sultan Road at Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi turned into a virtual office for bunch of the guys working on MLM
It is been observed from the last couple of months that a European based MLM system has captured our educated youth and they are selling it like an icecream to everyone. People in Pakistan find a great way to make their business deals and these young creative people do nothing just grab their clients from the different areas of Karachi and start selling them from everyday evening. They don’t buy any thing like drinks, coffee or something, but they just grab the space and sell to others aggressively.
These people work in teams, they come here daily, making reports, collecting payments, making & bringing customers and do the business from here.
As we all know MLM (Multi Level Marketing) is a ponzi scheme and not legally allowed in Pakistan. These educated young chaps sells it without saying it a MLM system, they are just saying that this is something similar to an e-commerce affiliate system like Daraz or other websites. Besides of being ban, MLM is still working like crazy shit here in Pakistan.
Recently, there are some organizations working here, even few of them are SECP registered under some business section but they use public money and giving everyone a chance to double & triple their money. We all know that the last tier always lose their money because there are no returns for the bottom line of MLM.
Our youth needs to understand the power of Entrepreneurship and use their energies for the betterment & positive activities to help the national economy. I personally feel amazed to see such energy when these chaps (boys & girls) are selling their MLM product on spot with extra energies and highly convincing power to the masses even the house wives been observed to get trapped. We must say, we should use public places for making our business deals but not using for ponzi schemes because they are playing with a dangerous matter they don’t know that no organization can use public money without being listed in Stock Exchange and have prior license from SECP.
