“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”(Socrates)
I came across these beautiful lines which came from one of the great minds of known history (SOCRATES). I am so happy as this seems an endorsement of what I believe.
FRIENDS! You can’t change the whole world but you can create the whole new world by bringing up better humans, and that’s my ideology. I began to think where to start. What to do that can give my kids a better place to live. The easy way was to leave the country and go live in a developed society but that surely is not a solution. I began to think, Why not I work on something that generates better human. But the question was, where should I start from? What to work on that can help? And finally, I came to a conclusion, that there is no way out other than EDUCATION. Go to any developed society and you would find following. That society is LITERATE, AWARE, TOLERANT and COMPETENT.
And for bringing in change, we have to plant seeds today. We have to look back at what we have done wrong that we must avoid. Friends, Look at this quote again “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”(Socrates)
Help me to convey my message to all the parents, “We have a golden opportunity in our hand when we have kids. These beautiful angels have come to us to live a beautiful prosperous life and we have a great responsibility to help them be a better human who respects each other. We have a responsibility to teach them to be tolerant thus create a tolerant society. We have a responsibility to equip them with skills which they would need when they grow up.
Children born today will be 20 years of age in 2038. Those who are privileged today to enroll in schools will have completed their graduations and will look for opportunities. Won’t they be looking back and regret of years they had spent in schools wasting their golden time of learning and not being able to polish skills that market would need that time? Why this system is failed to teach our kids the ethics and values that translate into the well-being of people living together collectively. Why is that so difficult?
It’s time to redefine the way we have planned to educate these kids. If we are serious, we must start from ourselves. The mother is the 1st teacher and the father is the 1st role model. Let’s prepare ourselves to be capable enough to be their teachers and role model first. Remember, no one in the world can ever love and take care of your children better than you. If you can’t stand for their development and can’t groom yourself, then please don’t expect anyone else to do that for you.
