IS SALARY DEDUCTION LEGAL…?
Most of the firms deduct from employee salary for the rate arrival and they said this is in the firm or organizations policy. and employees have no answer against that. At the time of hiring organization inform that they deduct from salary if you came late total of half an hour or an hour due lack of awareness about the law they immediately said “OK”.
But this is illegal employee can case the company for this. Because salary is the basic right of an employee, and the law is not allow any of the employer to deduct from salary of an employee without any justification.

NATIONAL LAW AND REQULATION:
1: Article 15 of the interim provision on the payment of salary of salary promulgated by the ministry labor.
2: article 3 of the ministry of labor.
3: Article 51 of the labor law.
LOCAL LAW AND REQULATIONS:
1: Article 19 of the shanghai municipality measures on enterprise payment of salary.
2: Article 51 of the Guangdong provincial regulations on labor security and supervision.
3: Article 19of the Liaoning provincial regulations on the payment of salary.
WHAT EMPLOYER CAN DO…?
Punctuality is the biggest issues for employer lots of things get disturb if an employee come late but employer can do some thing else to make there employees punctual like give them rewards, bonus or incentives. Give bonus to those employee who are punctual for a long time and by this other employees also get motivated and try to punctual. Its better then to deducts from employee salary.
