There is no doubt that we all love Sarfraz Ahmed for bringing back the memories of ’92 World Cup, but the situation at that time was however different. The classical Pakistani team of 1992 that shocked the world by winning the World Cup consisted of legends like Imran Khan, Waqar Younis, Saqlain Mushtaq and many others, but today’s story is rather a different one. Legends haven’t existed in the cricketing folds for a long time; they were created on the day Pakistan beat India. Legends brewed glory in the shape of hard work and mystified triumphant runs in sports; Sarfraz and his men did exactly the same when Pakistan beat India. Legends come back to their country and win hearts of every citizen there is to win; Hello Team Pakistan, we love you!
The Pakistani cricket team shocked the world of sports when they defeated the Indian team on foreign soil. Lord’s Cricket Stadium has always been a site for sore Eyes for generations of cricket fans, yet the pitch is always ripe for a show of batting proficiency. In the events that followed on the day of the Champions’ Trophy Final, Pakistan defeated India in one of the most entertaining matches to date. The tides somehow shifted towards the hearts of our cricketing team who showed massive skills of creativity to shock India to its core. Many believed this to be a one-sided course of action as far as Pakistan and India were concerned, yet the preceding future had rather a big surprise for those who witnessed all of it. In remarkable fashion, Sarfraz and his players rocketed magnanimous stints of batting and bowling innings that utterly shattered India’s hopes of even retaining a glimpse of success. To make ends meet, Pakistan won the final by a staggering 180 runs; ouch India, that stings!
It is true that our cricket team deserves more than our rants of verbal gratitude, at least that’s what all of us thought since Sarfraz and his men had worked so hard to reach the helm of where they stand in the cricketing world right now. In a show titled Geo Khailo Pakistan, hosts Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar presented the Pakistan Cricket Captain with a BMW X1 hatchback.
This gift was arranged specially by Ali Jahangir Siddiqui of JS Bank, who later congratulated Pakistan Cricket Team by saying that “We at JS Bank would like to congratulate Pakistan Cricket Team for an ecstatic performance in the Champions Trophy 2017. This is a landmark achievement for our cricketing fantasy and is bound to open new doors towards a promising sporting prospect for our country and eventually for the entire cricketing world. Congratulations Sarfraz, congratulations Pakistan!”
That is a great gesture from a great man. JS Group continues to invest in Pakistan’s interests and this very recent gesture shows how much the company is committed towards various the country’s many flagship initiatives. Let’s make sure that the ideology of a great Pakistan in the future still stands to be the sole priority of every citizen of this gifted land.
